Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, born on March 26, 1991 and professionally referred to as Ari Lennox, hails from Washington, D.C. and is the first female artist to be signed by J. Cole's Dreamville Records label. Her first EP, Pho in October 21st, 2016, was released via Dreamville Records. Her career began to grow in fame. Shea Butter Baby is her debut album. It was released in May 2019. Ari Lennox began uploading songs online in the year 2012, when she released her first mixtape, Five Finger Discount, and her debut EP Ariography in 2013. The year 2014 saw her continue to release her music on the internet including her independently issued single Bound. The 21st of July, 2015 was the day she appeared on Omen's album Elephant Eyes featuring the track Sweat it Out. J. Cole asked her to join him in collaboration for Rihanna's references. Then, later in the calendar, her songs circulated around Dreamville. The 8th of December was the day she revealed that she was officially signed by Dreamville Records. The singer appeared on the collaborative album Revenge of the Dreamers II which featured the track Backseat alongside Cozz. In October 2016 she debuted her debut EP, Pho. Ari Lennox later appeared on J. Cole's song Change in 2017 and also as an opening act for the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour in 2017. She also appeared on the songs Nothing but the Best by EarthGang as well as Icarus along with Bas as her labelmates. Ari Lennox's first album Shea Butter Baby was released on the 16th of July, 2018. First single, Whipped Cream The album's first single, Whipped Cream dropped on September 5, 2018 with a music video. The second single she released was called Grampa on the 9th of November. In November, she released 13 two new singles titled"No One and Pedigree. Then she appeared as a guest on the Creed II soundtrack with Cole on a track entitled Shea Butter Baby on November 16, and it was released as a single on February 26, 2019, for her debut album of the same name. On February 20, 2019, a music clip was made available for the song. It already has 3 million hits on YouTube within the first week. In December 2018 she performed on the From East Atlanta With Love Tour with 6LACK.
